Peter C. Diamond

Pete Diamond has been practicing law since 1993. He joined the firm in 1997 and has been a general partner since 2000. He has a bachelors degree from the University of Colorado and a law degree from Willamette University College of Law. While at Willamette, he was an editor and a published writer on the Willamette Law Review.

 

Mr. Diamond is admitted to practice in all Oregon State Courts, the federal District Court for the District of Oregon, and the Tribal Court of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.

Family law is one of Mr. Diamond’s main areas of expertise. In his practice, he seeks sensible solutions that address the best interests of children, while zealously advocating for the rights of his clients. Mr Diamond works regularly in the areas of divorce, custody and parenting time matters, modifications, DHS matters, adoptions and guardianships. He has extensive experience working with complex property and support matters.

Mr. Diamond also has significant experience in business, real estate and estate planning.  He understands the challenges that individuals and small businesses face. As a trial lawyer and a litigator, he can advise his clients not only on what ought to be done, but also on what could happen at trial or in arbitration.

Mr. Diamond has been a writer for Oregon State Bar publications and a speaker and presenter at local bar association educational events.  He lives in SE Portland, where he actively participates as a board member and volunteer for non-profit groups. He enjoys history, the outdoors, road trips and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
